After IPhone 7’s release, they did not wait for Samsung any more. And Samsung had known how to respond Androïd fans’ expectations until a problem appeared.
Samsung Galaxy notes 7 was going to be the main competitor of IPhone 7, a new model compound of a 64GB initial memory which can be up 256GB with a memory card. As a very important advantage of an IPhone, it is impossible to add a memory card. It is available with 3 colors: Black onyx, Silver Titanium and Blue Coral. Furthermore, this model was certified of the resistance to lP68 water, and a new style like waterproof and shape to more than 4,096 levels of pressure. Samsung did not stop there. People who pre-ordered Samsung Galaxy Note 7 are offered a virtual reality headset: Gear VR "Notes 7".
On August 2nd, 2016, it was presented in New York, at the same time, in London and Rio, the latest jewel of the main competitor of Apple. Thus the release became complicated. First of all, the initial release date on September 2nd is delayed in the end. But then, a problem arises from Galaxy Note 7 model.
A very fast success
Unfortunately, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 demonstrated a concern: a failure at the battery level, which explodes in charge. But Samsung knew how to react rather fast in the face of this problem and led an investigation which reveals that only 35 devices sold among 2,5 million ones would be affected, to express finally that this trouble would affect 1 model among 42,000. The affected models are especially present in China, Korea and the United States.
But how is the device affected by this problem?
For the owners of a Samsung Galaxy Note 7, there are two ways to detect if your device is malfunctioning:
o Samsung added a black square on the packaging label which means that this one is an old model and it incurs maybe a danger.
o And to know if your device is touched, it is very simple. To the models at risk, the icon of the battery capacity becomes white when the models presenting no danger, the same capacity changes from the orange to green color.
What are solutions?
Being worried about the image and about customers, Samsung knew how to bounce right away by offering solutions to customers. To start, people who made pre-ordered device and weren’t too much favorable to have this model can cancel free of charge. In France, all the people having pre-ordered or had a telephone will receive a new parcel with a new model accompanied of one virtual reality headset and a prepaid parcel to possibly send back the defective model free of charge. Samsung cannot exchange all the models at the same time, so that the users of these defective models have to wait for having a telephone, they have developed an update which blocks the charge level up to 60 % to avoid any overheating or explosion. Samsung has met difficulty in this launch, but after the problem resolution, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will finally overshadow the apple mark.
