The browser, having released Beta version on September 15th, 2010, has already reached 20 million downloads. Return to the novelties of Microsoft browser. Most of the new generation browser, Internet Explorer 9 has recovered a beauty and thus adopted a minimalist look. The interface is much lighter and the reduced menus are at maximum. Therefore, the accent is put into the contents of the Internet pages. The page of new tab has completely seen again and was very clearly inspired by the Norwegian Opéra browser. It shows a series of the most visited sites. We shall also note the appearance of information/error messages at the bottom of page and at the top allowing the finer ergonomics and less intrusive information.
The administrator of download also benefited from a global revision which was inspired by his direct Firefox competitor. In fact, it is an external window offering the possibility of conducting research of downloads and having access to former documents. Besides, at the technological level, the browser was equipped (finally) with last fashionable technologies. The browser supports HTML5 and CSS3 and also offers a better run-time Java script software. Hence, Microsoft recovered well at level with this new generation browser and thus can finally offer a quality product to these users with a success at 95/100 level in the test ACID3, but always below 100/100 of Chrome.
