A concerned figure for Google's social network has just fallen. A study by ComScore indicates that the US internet users spent the average of 3.3 minutes on Google +! Not terrible...
Figures of Google+
Earlier this year, Larry Page announced that Google+ had reached 90 million users. It is a nice figure for the latest of social network giants but what Mr. Page does not explain whether these are active accounts. This number is to be taken with a pinch of salt because the opening of a Google account is now automatically accompanied by a creation of profile Google+.
ComScore gives a more accurate view of the state of the Google+ community by revealing that the US Internet users spent an average of 3.3 minutes on Google+ for the month of January compared to 405 minutes a month on Facebook. Some media even compare Google+ to a virtual ghost town. The figures are of course contested by Google, which does not give official figures.
Will Google+ survive the phase of curiosity? The future will tell us.
