Tell a story, make dream … BDS, novels always know how to take us in a different world. How many stories have we allowed to spend some time in a parallel universe?

With the today technologies, skills and technical possibilities offered by Web or graphics, the first interactive storytelling has appeared. These digital stories offer the possibility of making the Internet user dream! With the interactive storytelling, the latter plays a role in the progress of the history, is questioned and wants to know more about it. It is the most qualitative user experience.

Tea boat SBS: an experience immersive

It is the graphic and narrative adaptation of the short history "The Boat" created by Nam Le and adapted by Matt Huynh. She tells the escape of Mai, a Vietnamese young refugee, after the war in her country. The way of telling this history, with a site parallax (visual effect obtained with several plans moving at different speeds) is absolutely innovative and fascinating at the same time. The reader is immersed in an experience of which he is the master. In fact, The Boat SBS is a new experience in which the user defines the rhythm of scrolling thanks to the scroll. He is plunged into a sound and visual atmosphere in the service of the history, offering an absolutely rich support to the reader, as well as the history, which aims to be much more attractive and artistic.

This site parallax is an approach which sublimates and highlights a history. Through the technologies and the used animations, this interactive support brings the history to real life and makes it live for the reader.

With Tea Boat, the interactive narrative dimension of a history is really appropriate. We could imagine that in the future, most of the cultural products, novels or other papers would be illustrated by means of diverse technological immersive means bringing the reader to the center of the history.

The graphic and interactive short story finds its increasing popularity, various projects were conducted last years. Graphic novels is certain sources of inspiration in the service of the Web projects. Therefore, for the professionals, these stories 2.0 represent a remarkable digital and graphic laboratory!

Other uses of the interactive storytelling

The Magic Flute is a graphic, using motion design to bring life to the popular opera of Mozart of the same name. The story is differently presented from the experience "The Boat". The graphic effects of transition, or even the animations, are innovative elements, they will establish partially the Web sites of the future. We can only would like to see more interactive narratives in the future. Supports and modern platforms highlighting the cultural and digital productions will develop certainly!
