Since 2010 entreprise DualSun, based in Marseille, offers a photovoltaic and thermal solar panel. An innovation realized by two young entrepreneurs, Laetitia Brottier and Jerôme Mouterde, graduates of Ecole Centrale of Paris.
It is the simple, successful and economic solution which is based on a report: the photovoltaic panels produce much more heat (85 %) than that of electricity (15%) when they are exposed to the sun. Yet, when their temperature increases, the efficiency on panels falls.
The solution? Use heat released by panels to supply with some usable hot water!
Four times more energy than a classic solar panel!
Thanks to this proprietary system, the company claims to be able to produce twice more energy for an individual house and four times more energy for a collective building. In fact, by avoiding the overheating of panels, 5-15 % of electricity is more produced by the photovoltaic cells. The rest corresponds to the energy saving released by the collected hot water.
Respect for the environmental standards and transparency
DualSun also offers a service which guarantees the respect for European standards and allows to avoid scams, which are unfortunately quite typical in the photovoltaic section. Installers selected by the company are approved craftsmen, with an up-to-date assurance and without the work subcontract. Hence, there is no risk of unpleasant surprises.
Furthermore, concerning the transparency, the company offers on its site an interactive map of realized works, of which some indicated in blue, are able to visit in a customer’s simple request. It is a reassuring way of the product’s quality and service.
How much do these solar panels cost and how much do they get?
In a valuable term, it is necessary to pay from 10,000 to 15,000€ to equip a house of 10 m². An investment can allow to benefit from an Energy Transition tax credit of 30 % and an eco-interest free-tax. Furthermore, DualSun suggests on its site calculating your savings over 20 years. Motivating the last ones is reluctant to the alternative energies.
