Account manager in Web, Mathieu Lab describes his daily commercial life at Jalis

12/04/2014

It has been a long time since we haven’t presented you the interview of a commercial Jalis person. Today, it is for Mathieu, a recruit of 2012. Mathieu started working at Jalis by joining the production. He thus has a more technical profile than a simple account manager, having had access to the challenges of technical teams.

Let’s discover his interview!

How long have you worked at Jalis and what is your function in the Web company?

That will have taken 3 years in March, I am commercial in the sector of Marseille-North.

Before joining Jalis, what was your job, what training did you pursue?

I have obtained the jurist's training, I have obtained a Master II on Laws of the NTIC and another one of Applied Economy. Training has finally accompanied me in my current job.

Concerning work experiences, before joining Jalis and the Web domain, I was in the broadcasting. I have passed by BFMTV in Paris and Films of the Sun in Marseille.

Can you describe your current post in a few words?

My main mission is the prospecting and the sale of solutions and Jalis products. I accompany customers in their Web communication to develop them.

What do you prefer in your work?

Signing contracts! I like contacting customers and dating profiles of different managers (auto-entrepreneurs, storekeepers, CEOS of more important structures). It is highly varied in terms of activities.

Which Jalis site are you most satisfied?

Le Queen Victoria. The site is magnificent and represents perfectly the atmosphere of the restaurant.

It is a beautiful reference according to me. The manager, Mr. Le Beux, has his professional reputation, he has numerous establishments in Marseille among which are pubs O Malley and Little Temple Bar. He gave me of beautiful recommendations I dealt with.

Which site gave you the hardest time and why?

I would quote Airel Finance. The customer had to delegate the filling of the site to one of his collaborators, who has been separated from the latter just before the delivery of the site... He does not master very well the Internet, he thus needs many more follow-ups than other customers, especially in a very competitive sector. But that is also a part of the challenge!

Do you have some advice to give to those who begin in the Web sector?

For commercial Web, it is necessary to have a sacred mental one, ceaselessly to question and always move forward. It is also important to have a suspicion of technical knowledge not to find it in the embarrassment, but too much either at the risk of losing the customer in so many technical explanations.
