They were present to realize an internship in Web writing during summer. Bastien and Wissam took back the ways of their engineering school in September. But Alimatou and Valentin still have a few weeks even a month to the company before taking over the notebooks.
We asked them to talk to us about referencing, a notion that they knew only a name in June, but they began to master by apprenticeship way.

Bastien Rouzé
During the short lapse of time where I worked for Jalis, I was able to discover what was "the decoration" concerning the creation of a web site. To be more precise, I discovered the natural referencing of a web page and some very useful on-line tools. I realized that good respect of the page referencing, personal or professional, gave to the aforementioned page a more pleasant visual approach, without counting the enormous gaining of the fluidity in the browsing. I began thinking "What does an Internet user search for on my page? He/she looks for information on my pro course, and tries to have a fast overview of what I made (links to the companies for which I worked, the trainings that I followed). It is necessary to work content and form so as to bring directly the Web user to its objective ".

This internship at Jalis has largely changed me. Before, I knew only a part of Google services and I did not really like Google (mediocre reputation with the private life, etc.). But when they introduced me to the metric tools (Google Analytics), I was able to realize the importance of these tools. For the people who hold a Web site, it is important to collect information on the visitors (age bracket, visited sites, etc.), to know what it is necessary to develop or not. It is a contribution so that the site can offer interesting contents.
I hold a personal site and I had almost no visit. My site was not even indexed to Google. Thanks to this internship, I am equipped to make a site which will gain in visibility and which will put forward all my realizations and projects! For example, all that I made was bad: the length of the text, the anchors of links, where and how to take the images (to respect copyright, etc.). I learnt a lot.
Valentin Marmonier
To allow a company to be visible on the Internet, such as the referrer’s mission. Just arrived in the Web company Jalis, I had to learn the cogs of the referencing. Just going out from a program to communication only, I was lucky to be trained by the team "Ref" on tools and various necessary techniques to make live an entity (physical or moral) on the net. This internship allowed me to take forward my project in a row of study. Holder of a Bachelor's degree in communication, I think today of turning to the digital to pursue my study.

In the internship at Jalis recently, I was able to learn some techniques of Web writing which allowed me to see the natural referencing under another angle. I realized that you should not just write to write. The Web writing must be precise and directed to the customer by the choice of key words and terms of localization. I also had the opportunity to perform some sites in terms of contents and picture, what allowed me to have a global view on the design of a web site.
At Jalis, there are not only the students who can be trained. Jalis Académie training center suggests his customers coming to learn the techniques of Web writing in Marseille (apprendre les techniques de rédaction web à Marseille,) Bordeaux, Lyon and soon in e-learning. The objective is then to apply on the web site of the company and win in market shares on Google.
