The project coordinator’s job at Jalis keeps a central function in the company. Rigor, clarity and consistence are the main qualifications of the project coordinator. Having played the project coordinator's role for more than one year and a half, Hélène attempts to respect these notions in daily life and even more! She explains us her vision of the Web project manager’s job (chef de projet web).
How long have you worked at Jalis and what is your function in the Web agency?
I have worked at Jalis since January, 2012 and I am Web project manager or a project coordinator as we are appointed more collectively at Jalis.
Before joining Jalis, what was your job?
I study at a non-specialized engineering school in Nancy (ENSGSI), directed project management and innovation. My internship took place in the Orange office where I was assistant product manager in the Consumer marketing service.
Then, I worked for an e-commerce site as a product manager for consumer electronic products.
From my first posts, I was in the universe of Web.
Can you describe your current post in a few words?
My post consists of making the link between the sales department, the technical part (graphic designers, developers, referrers) and the customer. It is the coordination role.
For each file, I am in direct relation with the customer to draft the specifications of the site according to his needs. The site has been built then for production near our technical team. Then, there is a part delivery and training with the customer for the management of the site and the referencing and make sure that the result corresponds well with his expectations.
What do you prefer in your work?
The diversity of customers. I meet all the corporate associations (architects), real estate agencies, hotels/restaurants, automobiles concessions, clothing stores, decoration etc.). It is highly varied and enriching.
Which Jalis site are you most satisfied?
Difficult to select only one. Those who come to my mind are especially beautiful realizations like Duneha, Entre Nous Magazine or Parquet Aubagnais.
What site gave you the hardest time and why?
I would say the e-mmobilier.com site for its complexity. It groups the properties of numerous real estate agencies and involves an important functional implementation.
Do you have some advice to give those who begin in the Web sector?
It is a domain where it is necessary to be curious and opened, in a direct link with various jobs (production teams, artistic studio, customers). It is thus necessary to adapt itself easily, be attuned with the proposal’s power.
