Let us begin with the beginning: Elodie, how long have you worked at Jalis?
I work in this Web company of Marseille (agence web de Marseille) for 8 months as a referrer Web editor with some projects of communication, especially, in press relations.
Which training did you pursue before arriving to Jalis?
I have pursued a Bachelor's degree of communication non-specialized and specialized in culture in Avignon. Then I followed a diploma of Master's degree majoring journalism and communication in Aix-en-Provence. My heart has always vacillated between communication and journalism until I wondered that finally the com could be the journalism with a precise message to be communicated.
I was then specialized in Web to get the job which I am doing at present. By the end of my studies, I actually would like to approach the natural referencing, community management and campaigns Adwords.
What does the Web referrer job in company consist of?
As a referrer at Jalis, I take charge of the traffic and positioning of the Web sites for customers from the site structure. We intervene when the creation of the site is ended.
Having worked on the site structure, I made good writing in the net linking way.
Furthermore, we work on our own sites which also help in booster the positioning of Web sites (booster le positionnement des sites web) for customers.
Which part do you prefer in your work?
I like the net linking very much. It is the writing and the search for the good directories, the blogs at the same time... We observe those who work well and those who work worse, those who quickly validate or those who never validate… I also like the challenge which gets to gain positions among the mountain of present sites on Google.
Have you had some advice to give those who begin in the Web referencing sector (référencement web)?
Web it is a promising field but there is a lot of competition. Thus it is necessary to collide always to gain positions on Google and especially make a lot of days before. What was going on yesterday does not go any more today, especially with Google which updates constantly its algorithms or which adds new filters …
