On October 10th last year, Docks Village definitively took place in the economic centre of Joliette district, in front of Terraces du Port. Elected as the best shopping mall by the MIPIM, the biggest international market of the real estate professionals, Docks has recently talked about winning their prize of Italian Ceramic in the category "Trades and places open to the general public ".

Thanks to the multiplicity of the services given to events, authenticity of the place involved in a unique renovation, Docks offers a new way of shopping to the visitors for one year.

Docks, a historic place


Situated in Joliette district, Docks originated from the old warehouses for storage of shipping goods. In 1991, Christian Pellerin decided to renovate it within the framework of Europe- Mediterranean project to transform this building into the office building.

 


Docks’ dimensions thus have been carefully considered. In fact, the 365 m-long monument stands for the amount of day in one year, 52 doors corresponds to the amount of weeks, 7 levels is equal to the total number of weekdays,  and 4 courts is relevant to different seasons.

A place of Marseille life dedicated to a wide target

To stimulate 80 shops and restaurants, Docks reckons 220 companies and 3,500 workers. Among them, Palmeraie, Be O, Panasia allow to eat, whereas Valentine & Co, Manhé, Café des Ongles assure visitors to keep up with the latest fashion. Flexible and adjustable offices adapted to the evolution of companies are also rented.

Docks’ visitors

With an opening 7d/7 from 10:00 to 20:00 till 1 o’clock in the morning at restaurants, local residents, Marseille inhabitants, newcomers and tourists take advantage of a busy shopping mall right in the centre of Marseille. The gallery decomposes three parts there: the port for supporting the trade and discoveries, the village for the daily life purchases, the services and the welfare, since the market for the conviviality and the gourmand.

Thanks to the mobile application of Docks Marseille, each individual can be informed in real time about the arrival of new shops, the latest promotions and events organized in Docks Village. It is also possible to have access to all the services offered by storekeepers.
