En tant qu'administrateur systèmes et réseaux et intervenant technique au service client, il est contact avec tous les corps de métier de l'agence et est toujours disponible pour former ses collaborateurs aux outils internes de Jalis.
It is with a lot of passion and wisdom that Anthony R talks with us about his function in Jalis Web company. As a system and network administrator and technical participant in the customer service, he contacts all the major associations of the company and is always available to train the collaborators of Jalis internal tools.
How long have you worked at Jalis and what is your function in the Web company?
It is going to take me 3 years to work at Jalis. My function is System and Network Administrator.
Before joining Jalis, what was your job, what training did you pursue?
I have pursued a short program of computing, DUT software engineering option, then I worked as a developer during two or three years (in the industry then in Web). Then I have raged for a few years in the technical support to specialize finally in the web hosting which is now my expertise.
Can you describe your current post in a few words?
I take charge of the infrastructure of Web sites hosting which Jalis makes, and includes the conception of the architecture of accommodation, the preventive and curative maintenance, the optimization, the supervision … At the same time, I ensure the functioning of computing tools (material and software) used by the teams, from their deployment to the users’ training.
Finally, I become a technical referent in the technical support team, bring my expertise when a demand needs increasing and I make sure of the developed skills for the collaborators.
What do you prefer in your work?
The novelty. My job, aims to bring solutions which are always more successful, reliable, secure, practical to the teams. For that purpose, it is necessary to be attuned to customers and collaborators and not to rest on our experiences.
Which Jalis site are you most satisfied?
It is the next step! Because it will be accommodated in the most recent infrastructure.
Which site gave you the hardest time and why?
Globally, they are sites with very high traffic. The sinews of war in the accommodation is the pass-band, and a strong influx puts to the test of our servers. In these cases, you should not neglect any detail: sizing, site optimization, server tuning … They are the cases which take us forward.
Do you have some advice to give to those who begin in the Web sector?
Please give document, surround yourselves, share and take advantage of what the others share. Your success will depend on your capacity to question and to adapt you to a sector evolving at full speed. And if you realize that you like that, you are at the right place.
