What rights are for the trainees in France?

03/26/2014

The protection of trainees’ rights in France is at the centre of the current events nowadays.  For regular offers of internship or professional contracts with the aim of hiring, Jalis is anxious about making a brief aside on the subject.

What about the trainees’ status in France?

At night from 24th to 25th February, the National Assembly adopted the socialist private law to protect trainees against the abuses in a company. This law would limit the number of trainees within a company to 10% of the total employment. The law would also allow the trainees to benefit from new rights such as 2,5 days off a month from the 2-month internship, restaurant tickets and the partial coverage of transport costs. The internships can last no more than 6 months and the trainees’ presence time may not be greater than that of company’s employees.

Jalis policy concerning the trainees
